Important thing is you should not follow a general rule to lose fat.Your body is unique, so your plan should be unique too. You should not think that you can follow some method where in 5 weeks your fat will be gone. It is not practical really. Your metabolism rate, your eating habit, your body structure, your age, height each are determing factor. So blindly you can not follow a method and expect that you will succeed.
